Providing Authentic Western Wear for Over 65 Years In 1956, Country General Store began as a surplus store when the San Fernando Valley still contained elements of The Wild West. Back then, there were many ranchers and farmers that needed functional clothes for hard work, like riding horses and hauling oranges. Owner Rick Stanoff developed a simple but true store philosophy: “Give ‘em what they want”. That is, provide the best western wear.

If there's one thing that we focus on at the Country General Store, it's providing our customers with quality Western wear. From authentic Western clothing that can be used in TV shows and movies to clothing durable enough to wear on the range, our clothing is built to last. We also provide custom Western wear. If you have seen a style of Western boots or Western hats in a movie, a TV show, or a magazine, we can remake that same style for you.
